Summer…my absolute favorite time of year!  I love everything about it…the sun, the warmth, the parties, the food, but mostly I love the fashion.  It’s particularly a chance to show off all those pretty maxi dresses!  I have always had a thing for maxi dresses, they cover and camouflage so many “rough” areas but still make you feel comfy, cool in the heat AND they look fresh and interesting. I mean what more can you ask for from one single piece of clothing, right?

This season as usual I have seen and lusted after so many different types…so many fantastic styles, colors and prints.  I’m not always much of a print person but this all started with all the  pretty tropical prints this season… kind of really loving the tropical look and my first dress reflects this latest passion. 

So of course I just had to have some of these amazing dresses I coveted BUT not at the prices I saw….absolutely not.  I wanted to pick a variety of styles, for different purposes… for swimsuit cover-ups, super casual for home, and even for all the barbecues, parties or showers all summer long.  They are so versatile, some of these you can wear for all those! 

Now above all you probably know by now that I am not only obsessed with maxi dresses (and many other pieces..lol) but I am beyond obsessed with comfort.  If I’m not comfortable in an outfit, I’m not going out that door!  I have to feel good and not “fussy” to really enjoy myself and I’m quite sure many of you agree 🙂  So only cool, cute and comfy maxis included!

Seeing as last week was my TWO year anniversary of writing this blog (Yeah!) I decided to go back to my original format of showing you the look, its’ price and my “thriftier” (ok…cheap) version. And I added a few (maybe more than a few) extra maxis that were such great deals I couldn’t resist letting you know about them!

So, a few of the styles that caught my eye were way too pricey for me so my latest QUEST began for the ultimate maxi dress deals to build my summer fun wardrobe!

Saw this tropical dress on Pinterest and just had to have it…first site was way too much for me- $84.00…so I went on a QUEST for a better deal and easily found this exact dress (even the same model…weird) for only $30.99= savings of $53.01…YES!!

**Tip: on any of these lesser known websites, for security purposes, I don’t use my personal credit card I purchase and use a Visa or MC Gift Card that I just get at a local store instead…worry-free online shopping!**

Tie Dye…I’ve always had a thing for it and  found this great deal on Amazon…my very favorite site for almost everything! Pricey one is $74.00, Amazon had a similar one for only $24.99 = savings of $49.01…Score!

The “no way I’m going to pay that price” was $120.00 on Bohoseventy.com, Amazon has for $24.99 = a savings of $95.01…Wow!!

*Just a note that this technically isn’t a maxi (at least on me) more like a midi and although the color is listed as “Wine Red” it’s actually an orangey-red but still very pretty color and print.
