Fall florals…yes!

So, I am finally writing my fall blog and honestly feel like I had been purposely delaying it because the weather has just been so summery and warm…and frankly I couldn’t say goodbye to my light hot weather fashions and face the cold weather styles I usually see this time of year.  But today the temperature has dropped significantly, the leaves are turning colors, pumpkins (and pumpkin spice) are everywhere and it’s all put me in a fall fashion mood….finally!   The best thing about fall fashion this year is that florals are really in and I couldn’t be more pleased about that! Florals make me happy!  Now I normally am attracted to non-pattern, solid clothing but this season I am branching out in color and patterns.  How can you not love them when they are everywhere and oh so pretty!

So, I keep seeing all these exciting florals and so many colors that are so beautiful and I really don’t usually gravitate towards red but this season these bright blouses have really caught my eye.  And as always I love everything with a comfy pair of jeans!   I couldn’t decide on just which one I loved more so I have included a few of my favorites and here they are:

PRICEY BUT PRETTY:

These beautiful floral blouses run from $78 (Banana Republic) to $1000 (Chanel). I, personally, cannot and will not pay any of those prices so I set out on a quest for my very own pretty, floral, red new fall blouse.

For my perfect floral blouse I wanted it to be flowy as flowy covers so much of what my middle does not want to show.  After finding a few that reached some of my very specific criteria I settled on my favorite …a red and navy floral flowy (and forgiving) blouse from Target’s new collection called A New Day.  I ordered it online in a size XL and found it to be a little TOO flowy even for me so I returned for a size L and it fits and flows perfectly! The price was too good to be true too…regularly priced at only $24.99 it was on clearance for only $17.48!

The jeans in all of these photos are ridiculously expensive ($85 to $175) and I truly don’t believe in spending more than you have to IF the jeans feel good and look stylish as well.  I found a super comfy and affordable skinny jean (but not too skinny) at Target (gotta love that Target!) …it’s the Denizen from Levi’s Modern Skinny Jean regular price $27.99 and with a $5 coupon cost me only $22.99!

As for shoes I like the variety in the photos I’ve included here …I think it all depends on the weather on the day I’m wearing the outfit…on warmer days my brown wedges and on cold days it would definitely be my tan ankle booties.  I found some at Old Navy for only $27.99 minus $10 super cash coupon= $17.99!

Now because this top is so bright and pretty I think it deserves a bright, pretty bag as well…so I went on another quest online for that and found a cute one for a steal at H&M for only $24.99 and then found a coupon on RetailMeNot (my favorite site for online discount codes) and got 20% off= $19.99!

So instead of spending hundreds to thousands of dollars on any of the “Pricey but Pretty” outfits I spent only a total of $78.45!!   Now that’s what I call a successful style quest!!!!
