It’s 2018…the New Year…a time of resolutions, new beginnings, fresh starts, and of course my favorite…new fashion, new looks and more importantly … great new deals!

It may sound shallow to some but I, personally, find fashion to be a great distraction from what can sometimes be a pretty intense world.  So onto to my next style quest…a unique black blouse and my go-to pant …jeans. And of course some awesome accessories that I just couldn’t resist!

I do love color, I really do, but a beautiful, interesting black top gets me every time.  I have included all the photos and posts that I have seen and have caught my eye and dare I say that I became OBSESSED with getting an outfit like this for myself.  Here are just a few of the “black top outfits” that I coveted:

Now as usual…some of the styles that I loved were way out of my price range so I embarked on my quest for the perfect affordable black top for me.  When I finally found it (Yay!) and decided that I would add just a bit of color to this outfit with an amazing blue handbag that I just fell in love with. Now, unfortunately for me the bag was a Michael Kors (beautiful but pricey) but I actually like the much cheaper one I found even better!

Now for the shoes…I really do love a boot cut jean and flare jeans too but don’t love a round toe boot or shoe with them… I think a pointy toe shoe or boot lengthens the leg and always looks better. So the quest was even harder for the boots when I added the perfect “pointy toe” factor.  I realize the “bag matches your shoes” notion is old fashioned but in this case I just had to do it especially when I discovered these amazing and hard to believe even comfortable blue pointy boots!

As you can see from my “covet” photos they range from the boot cut/flare jeans “dressier” look to the skinny jean look with black boots for a more casual vibe.  And I just had to add my trusty white leather moto jacket for the casual look to give it an even cooler edge.  Fortunately for me…and you…I love both looks and went on a quest for all the pieces to come together. And was thrilled when I found it all!!

I just love this stylish and comfy black top (feels like a t-shirt)…and felt so good wearing it and for me that’s the key…if I don’t feel right, if I don’t feel confident in an outfit then I don’t wear it out of the house! And this one felt great and worthy of actually going out!
